Job Summary
As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team which is aligned to Enterprise Technology, As an M365 Application Architect, you will lead the technical design, architecture, and delivery of custom solutions within the M365 platform to meet the specific needs of our 250,000+ employees. Working closely with cross functioning teams you will leverage developer experience to enhance productivity, reduce risk and improve business processes dependent on the M365 stack. The role will require translating business requirements into scalable and efficient solutions, delivered via mentoring teams of developers on methods and best practice across the M365 / Entra AD Stack.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- A proactive attitude and be motivated by enhancing the platforms we provide.
- Expertise in working in partnership with colleagues throughout a large organization and influencing teams and partners to achieve common goals
- Demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a global team.
- Experienced in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript a plus
- Passionate about building an innovative culture
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Agile, scrum delivery experience
- Private and public cloud native application design and engineering a plus
- Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation, and delivery.
- Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication
- Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
