Preferred Qualifications:

• 6-10 years experience in corporate or institutional venture capital (VC), corporate development, or business development – ideally in the tech industry

• Strong multitasking abilities and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication skills, entrepreneurial mindset, interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with entrepreneurs, Qualcomm teams, and other strategics

• Self-starter with a track record of successful project management and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

• MBA or equivalent degree from a top academic institution preferred

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Portfolio Development (Internal): Cultivate strong connections between Qualcomm Business Units and Qualcomm Ventures portfolio companies, engaging with both Qualcomm Business Units stakeholders and portfolio teams to drive results, including portfolio company adoption of Qualcomm Business Units products, Qualcomm Business Units adoption of portfolio company technology, facilitating technical support and co-marketing campaigns/events

• Business Development (External): Cultivate strategic relationships with external organizations in relevant sectors, understand their mission-critical priorities and technology initiatives, and introduce potential decision-makers and customers to Qualcomm Ventures portfolio companies

• Reporting: create dashboards and reports of portfolio development progress, present successful collaborations to Qualcomm Business Units management, and create databases and resources to help Qualcomm Ventures portfolio companies navigate Qualcomm and potential external customers

• General Support: support portfolio companies with recruiting, represent Qualcomm Ventures at industry conferences and events

Level of Responsibility:

• Works under supervision but must operate autonomously

• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group

• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc

• Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department

• Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively
