Job Description

• Design, develop and maintain complex SQL queries.

• Design and develop ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it according to business requirements, and load it into target databases.

• Assess existing ETL processes, ensuring they remain functional and efficient.

• Work with large datasets and manage data migrations between systems.

• Integrate data from multiple sources into our data warehouse, including relational databases, flat files, and external APIs.

• Ensure seamless data flow and integration with data warehouses and business intelligence tools.

• Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and non-technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Takes ownership of the process of creating an appropriate solution for business problems, which includes creating, communicating and aligning a plan for delivery realization.

• Support other developers on the team and perform peer reviews of their work.

• Document database designs, ETL processes, and data integration workflows, in accordance with GxP regulations.

• Understands good coding practices, especially related to code legibility and understandability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience with software development, preferably with database management systems such as MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures, data modelling, and database design

• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R is preferred.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database and ETL-related issues efficiently.

• The ability to understand complex business processes, and to translate them into a technical solution.

• Experience with developing software in a highly regulated environment is a plus.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• 3+ years of experience in software development.

• Experience with direct collaboration with business stakeholders to create new features/products.

• Experience in developing and maintaining ETL processes for large-scale data systems.

• Knowledge of business intelligence tools and reporting systems (e.g., Power BI, Spotfire, AERA).
