Minimum Qualifications
- You have strong editorial judgement and excellent headline writing skills. Sub-editing experience would be a bonus.
- You have experience with curating breaking news for a national or international audience.
- Experience working at a magazine, newsroom or digital platform.
- A deep familiarity with the UK and US media landscape – and major writers and journalists.
- You’ve worked in a variety of CMSs and social-media platforms, and have a keen understanding of the tools that support innovative editorial.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent with data and analytics, and can responsibly incorporate user behaviour into your editorial strategy.
- A keen feel for local news, and which publishers are strong across the various cities and regions of the UK.
- Experience covering big moments in sport.
