Your ImpactThe Privacy Program Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing the organization's privacy initiatives and ensuring compliance with data protection laws/regulations, industry standards, and customer demands. This role involves developing and operationalizing privacy and data related policies and standards, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving a culture of privacy awareness throughout the organization. In this role, you will:
- Support and contribute to implementing the Privacy Center of Excellence’s mission of compliance, market access, and differentiation.
- Work closely with Cisco’s Regional Privacy Officers, privacy lawyers, engineers, and operations specialists to develop, operationalize, and evolve frameworks to manage privacy risk, enable responsible data use, and enhance trust in Cisco.
- Engage and collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams in Legal, Government Affairs, Security & Trust, Product, People & Communities, and other departments.
- Lead a team of privacy and operations professionals working with key collaborators throughout Cisco to lead Cisco privacy training, due diligence, escalated assessments, reporting, notices, requests, inquiries, policies, standards, controls, and guidelines as well as drive the adoption of standardized, scalable, and automated (where possible) processes.
- Maintain program metrics, certifications, and conduct maturity program scoring.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in relevant field with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, compliance, or a related field
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of motivating, empowering, supporting, and engaging team members to achieve optimal business results, develop their skills and careers, and enjoy their work.
- Strong experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, and guide effective, efficient compliance strategies and programs.
- Ability to identify privacy risks, calibrate and prioritize them, develop mitigation strategies, and align privacy goals with business objectives.
- Experience working in program management, privacy, data compliance, or other relevant areas and knowledge of program tools(e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Microsoft Project, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:- Professional certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional, Certified Information Privacy Manager, or Program Management Professional are a plus.
- Experience developing and leading a team.
