- Develop manufacturing equipment and processes from pilotprototypes to full scale ramp
- Determine and procure equipment that is necessary for allmanufacturing processes used to build the product
- Work with equipment integrators to design and manufactureequipment and fixtures for medium to high-volume production
- Manage suppliers during specification, design, buyoff andinstallation of manufacturing equipment
- Characterize and validate new equipment and fixtures forintroduction to the production floor
- Determine layout of production workstations for product flow,ergonomics, and efficiency
- Perform process analysis, DOE, PFMEA, line balancing activities,and capacity modeling/simulation
- Provide DFM (design for manufacturability) input to design teamfor process and yield improvements
- Create detailed manufacturing instructions to train techniciansand line operators on new processes and equipment
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or MechatronicEngineering, or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional engineering & powder coat experienceor related automotive paint manufacturing environment
- Ability to develop and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, andpneumatic systems.
- Experience with pre-treatment systems and related waste water management
- Experience with HVAC & air balancing of e-rooms
- Experience creating technical specifications for automatedmanufacturing equipment
- Experience introducing new products and new processes from aprototype environment to a production environment
- Experience providing design for manufacturability and automation
- Experience designing production line layouts in AutoCAD
- Proficiency designing mechanical equipment, fixturing, and toolingin CAD (SolidWorks or CATIA)
