Boston Scientific Quality Engineer II

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partners with Manufacturing Engineering and Production core team members for daily manufacturing line support decisions and practices.
  • Identifies and implements effective process control systems to meet or exceed internal, external, and regulatory requirements.
  • Applies sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
  • Proactively investigates, identifies, and implements best-in-class Quality Engineering practices.
  • Collects and analyzes process defect data for product/process improvement efforts (e.g. scrap, nonconforming product, customer complaints) by systematically gathering quality metric data and performing the appropriate analysis method(s) to enhance sustaining product design.
  • Supports a culture of continuous improvement by advancing improvements to existing processes and controls.
  • Provide task direction, coaching, and mentorship for technician team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in an operations setting, quality, or related medical device experience
  • Knowledgeable in Quality System Regulations, Medical Device Regulation, and ISO 13485 Quality Standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or experience working with electronic components/ PCBAs
  • Demonstrated use of Quality tools/methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple, cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Hands-on approach to product nonconformance investigations/ troubleshooting.
  • Comfort with self-directed work in addition to collaboration in a team environment
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Experience leading investigation and resolution of highly complex problems.

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be$ to $, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
