Job Overview:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy, design, and implementation of Qualcomm’s cloud architecture, focusing on end-to-end solutions that encompass infrastructure, platform services, and application layers.

• Architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions across various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring optimal integration with existing systems and alignment with business goals.

• Develop and execute a full-stack cloud implementation strategy, including infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and serverless architectures, to facilitate agile development and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring cloud architectures meet current and anticipate future needs.

• Promote best practices in cloud security, compliance, and governance, ensuring all cloud solutions adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of cloud technologies and tools, driving innovation and continuous improvement in Qualcomm’s cloud capabilities.

• Provide expert guidance on full-stack development methodologies, advocating for a holistic approach to cloud implementation that encompasses both front-end and back-end development practices.

• Mentor and develop team members in cloud technologies and full-stack implementation techniques, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of experience in technology architecture, with a significant focus on cloud computing and full-stack development.

• Expert knowledge of cloud infrastructure, platform services, and application development, with demonstrated experience deploying enterprise-level solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, compliance frameworks, and industry best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills, with the ability to drive complex projects to successful completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

• Professional certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Google Cloud Professional Architect) and full-stack development methodologies.

• Proficient in a range of programming languages and frameworks relevant to full-stack development (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, React, Angular, Node.js).

• ArchiMate 3 Practitioner Certification.

• Experience in leading full-stack cloud transformation projects within large, global organizations.

• Deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools, with a track record of implementing efficient CI/CD pipelines.

• Advanced knowledge of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL, and data modeling for cloud-native applications.

Education Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.

• A Master’s degree in the aforementioned fields is strongly preferred
