As part of Citi’s Technology and Business Enablement function, the Enterprise Data Office and Data Transformation team is responsible for defining and driving the Firm’s data strategy designed to achieve the highest data integrity standards and meeting regulatory expectations by:

  • Establishing and enforcing data-related policies with appropriate governance and oversight

  • Optimizing front-to-back technology architecture and data operating model

  • Provisioning best-practice tools and capabilities

  • Implementing data controls, including data quality measurement and reporting

  • Identifying strategic data enhancements and driving remediation

  • Leveraging innovative technologies e.g. AI, NLP

  • Building out a firmwide data operating model through domains

  • Creating support of the operating model to enable the organization to deliver timely accurate and complete data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to key business and functional leaders, driving the implementation and on-going management of Domains aligned with business strategy and work with EDO and Technology partners to implement.

  • Support Domain Owners to lead the definition, prioritization and resolution of Data Domain governance and requirements decisions including domain boundaries. Monitor compliance with data governance standards and ensure data quality and integrity across domains

  • Drive Domain Operationalization and implementation of the Data Domain Operating Model across people, process and technology, ensuring they are consistently adopted and adhered to.

  • Setup and implement cross-domain working groups to align on common data including definitions for critical data, data quality rules and reporting.

  • Lead Domain communications and training across the organization.

  • Lead and mentor a team of Data Domain professionals to execute upon the Enterprise Data Domain Lead responsibilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data excellence.

  • Ensure, monitor and report on the health of domains across the enterprise.

  • Embed a culture of ownership and accountability for data across the enterprise

  • Lead the continuous enhancement of the Enterprise Domain infrastructure adapting to the evolving needs of the business, emerging regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Own the Domain Standard and enterprise domain taxonomy including any maintenance, updates, revisions and socialization of changes.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 15+ years’ experience in large Financial Services firm with experience across, regulatory programs, data, risk & control, business, operations, or technology

  • Expertise in data governance frameworks, best practices, and tools, with a particularly a strong understanding of Enterprise Data Domains, metadata management, and the role of data governance in achieving business objectives.

  • Successfully delivered multiple large scale, complex transformation programs

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and changes to the program

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to synthesize key messages and “story tell”

  • Strong organizational leadership and influencing skills

  • Ability to Communicate effectively with senior executives to advocate for Data Domain initiatives and influence decision-making

  • Must demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and an ability to identify conflicts, discrepancies and other issues and bring together the right team to solution them.

  • Able to navigate through a large organization to streamline and summarize multiple information points and create repeatable processes to build consistency in presenting information.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification required
