As a R&D Application Engineer, you will work directly with customers to understand their requirements and needs, then successfully convert these into product design. You will manage the overall project with Vision products and work with cross-functional teams.

Your tasks will be as follows:

• Manage the product development process, while monitoring milestones and complying with time and cost constraints.

• Manage resources within the cross-functional team

• Transform customer requirements into technical plans according to internal processes, including change management

• Monitor progress, review test results and communicate next steps or escalate as necessary; report regularly to management and customers

• Work with quality team for open issues, identify root cause and develop and define the containment actions

• Collaborate with corporate engineering team on product development, collaborate with global engineering teams on component design and specification, vision products design and change management

• Document the product lifecycle according to the development process (FMEA)

• Consider the environmental impact of new products and their manufacturing processes and how they would be disposed of safely

• Be the technical leader of all projects while adapting to the company's digital transformation and automation

Your profile:

• University degree with professional qualification in mechanical engineering or related field

• At least 1 to 2 years' professional experience in similar positions in a modern manufacturing environment - preferably in the automotive industry

• Excellent working knowledge of 3D engineering tools (preferably Solid Edge and/or CatiaV5)

• Excellent communication skills in French and English (German is a plus)

• The ability to work independently and systematically

• Willingness to travel frequently to Hirson plant
