As a Plant Electrical Engineering Specialist you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, OSHA) in relation to electrical systems
  • Leading site electrical infrastructure planning and renewal efforts
  • Implementing standard operating procedures for electrical system operation and maintenance
  • Determining appropriate projects to support site capacity and utilization of electrical utilities
  • Supporting site electrical staff as an on-site expert

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Ten (10) years of plant electrical engineering in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
  • Fifteen (15) years of electrical engineering in a private, public, government or military environment with responsibility for oversight of plant electrical distribution systems.
  • Skills include ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
