JOB DESCRIPTION

As an IT Director of Finance here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, IT strategies and implementation of Best Practices within the IT department. Your role will involve project oversight, managing budgets, financial planning, and analysis, managing a small team, as well as providing strategic guidance to optimize financial IT projects. You will report directly to our Chief Information Officer, and you will work out of our headquarters in Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on our organization by ensuring the financial health and efficiency of our IT department. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business objectives, drive cost optimization initiatives, and support decision-making processes.
You will also work on IT projects to provide financial solutions working closely with Enterprise IT to ensure global solutions are rolled out for SAP S4. You will be responsible for working with the support functions to ensure we transform the legacy organization on SAP ECC to the advanced functionality of SAP S4.
• Develop and manage IT department budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals and objectives.
• Work on core IT Financial Requirements, including managing the overall IT budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in the areas of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Collections, Costing, and Profit Center.
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making within the IT department.
• Provide financial guidance and recommendations to IT leadership based on data-driven insights.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the IT industry.
• Strong financial analysis and forecasting skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Proven track record of driving financial performance and cost optimization initiatives.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills. • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA preferred.
• Experience in the software industry
• Experience in managing IT department budgets and financial operations.
• Strategic thinking and ability to provide actionable insights.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of IT industry dynamics.
