Supply Chain Tech - Planning Senior Manager

As a Senior Manager in Technology Business Analysis, you will be at the forefront of evaluating and understanding complex business models, processes, and operations. Your expertise will be pivotal in translating business requirements into technical specifications for our technical teams to develop functional solutions that drive our technology delivery success.

Your key responsibilities

You will focus on the design, customization and optimization of Digital and Cloud-based solutions. You will team with various EY groups with digital capabilities to pursue and deliver digital engagements and solutions that will bring our clients' digital vision and strategy to life.

In this role, you will manage and oversee complex processes and projects, ensuring quality and managing risk. You will be accountable for budget management, delivery, and performance of projects aimed at meeting specific objectives. Additionally, you will foster and manage client relationships, contributing to business growth through revenue generation and commercial relationship management. You will also engage in:

  • Thought leadership, providing expert insights and tackling complex problems with best practice knowledge.
  • Identify sales and new opportunities
  • Participate in client engagements from planning to execution and closure
  • Manage engagement economics with a focus on chargeability and revenue generation

  • Working in project teams through agreed-upon phases of project governance, requirements definition, vendor selection, risk analysis, customization, testing, training and rollout of a client's project life cycle
  • Collaborating with team members in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the Digital and Emerging Technology Advisory market
  • Providing broad technical knowledge of various key technology and business platforms
  • Teaming with client technology professionals and third-party strategic alliances
  • Developing long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally
  • Interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives
  • Support in the hiring process
  • Select appropriate methods and techniques to achieve results
  • Recommend policy changes and establish procedures
  • Exercise significant latitude in setting objectives and determining approaches to assignments

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and 5 or more years of related work experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience within leadership role and responsibilities delivering projects in Supply Chain Management, with focus toward Supply Planning and Demand Management as a business domain
  • A good understanding of Value Chain Synchronization and Supply Chain Re-Invention will be beneficial
  • Flexibility and willingness to manage significant travel depending on the time of year
  • Hands-on knowledge of BY (or other leading solutions) Supply Chain Planning applications like:
    • Demand
    • Replenishment / Deployment Planning
    • Supply Planning
    • Inventory Optimization
    • Sales & Operations Planning
    • Scheduling/sequencing
    • Control Tower
    • Optimization
  • Experience with Advanced Planning tools like JDA, OM Partners, o9 and/or Kinaxis is required
  • Experience within Blue Yonder and or Kinaxis with deep functional/domain expertise and hands on experiences in configurations, training, knowledge transfer, customer communications and documentations
  • Led and managed minimum 2-3 full lifecycle Supply Chain Planning implementations in large and complex environment
  • Lead and participate in:
    • Gather business requirements
    • Analyze and transform to application requirements
    • Perform Fit-Gap Analysis
    • Lead Functional Design approval process
    • Strong interaction with development team to test and deliver the solution
    • Assist customer during UAT
    • Prepare and review documentations
    • Working experience with Onsite & Offshore delivery model environment is preferred
    • Subject matter in the following Supply and Demand Planning area:
    • Inventory Planning
    • Planning Horizons
    • Modelling Supply Chain Constraints
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise business processes with technology skills
  • Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior consulting experience relevant to industry-specific business and technology functions

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Degree emphasis in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, MIS or Mathematics desired; master's degree in one of these areas preferred
  • Certifications and prior consulting experience highly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and processes
  • Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $169,900 to $388,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $203,900 to $441,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
