Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The HR Strategy & Excellence team is responsible for defining and enabling a consistent execution of the HR vision in alignment with the business direction by encompassing three interrelated perspectives: the company’s, the employee’s as well as the internal HR lens to drive excellence. The focus is on outcome and impact by driving x-function/market scalability and leveraging excellence across HR in close partnership with GBS and Tech.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the e2e planning, delivery and sustainable embedding of theSAP HR Success Factor(SF)suite across adidas, for Corporate, Retail as well as Distribution Center employees and people managers. Lead the execution of the SF implementation to elevate HR and establish a world-class HR function.
  • Act as strategic consultant and subject matter expert to the HR Senior Leadership Team and key business stakeholders for industry best practices related to HR transformations, ensuring business value is understood and supported.
  • Oversee the implementation of technology and tools to support the transformation of the HR function in collaboration with Tech and GBS. Lead the alignment of interdependencies between HR, Tech and GBS to identify opportunities to reduce manual processes, enhance standardization, automation and centralization of business processes and resources where it makes sense.
  • Represent the SF implementation across HR and collaboration partners.
  • Manage external vendors.
  • Own and execute the business cases to support the SF implementation and associated change initiatives and projects. Ensure timely implementation of transformation, change programs and projects according to set objectives and budget.
  • Drive communication cascades on the strategic intent of transformation and change programs and projects, while ensuring buy-in from (senior-) stakeholders in close collaboration with the broader HR Strategy & Excellence Team.
  • Leadand supervise a cross-functional team, provide guidance, coaching & mentorship and foster a positive team culture for formal direct reports as well as for project team members with other reporting lines.
  • Plan and role model the evolution from a program set-up towards establishing an effective and efficient ‘business as usual’ ways of working where updates and continuous improvements are realized across HR, GBS and Tech
  • Manage performance reviews and talent development within the team, role model the new processes within the direct team and be an advocate across the HR Strategy & Excellence team.
  • Act as a role model in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations as well as adidas’ Fair Play Code of Conduct and other internal policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in planning, implementing, and delivering HR transformation projects with global scope.
  • Empathetic leadership by creating connection and followership throughout a big change initiative.
  • Active listening skills, meeting others where they currently are and working on change plans together with them.
  • Storytelling ability to emotionally connect people to the purpose of the program and transformation.
  • Extensive experience of defining and measuring KPIs and telling stories with data to articulate both business cases and results.
  • Experience of successfully managing multiple and competing project priorities through to successful implementation and delivery under time and budget constraints.
  • Proven track record in working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Extensive experience of working collaboratively across teams, functions, and geographies, both inside and outside of HR and with internal and external partners.
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution, risk mitigation, consensus building and cross-functional program governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to liaise across all levels of seniority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics and articulate them simply and clearly to different audiences.
  • A ‘culture-role model’ with the ability to set a tone and standard of HR excellence.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to act with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and hands-on mentality.
  • Experience in HR across multiple organizations.
  • Good understanding of and experience with HCM Cloud solutions.
  • Deep understanding of transformation principles and organizational change management to craft and lead key efforts and serve as a trusted advisor for senior leaders.

Requisite Education and Experience:

  • Graduate HR or business qualification
  • Minimum 10-13 years of professional experience in a cross-functional and international environment with a track record of achieving significant impact
  • Experience as HR Business Partner and in establishing HR Global Business Services
  • Minimum of 7 years leadership experience of leading diverse & global teams in a matrix organization
  • Relevant project management experience (design and implementation)
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding results
  • Fluent in English and ideally German
  • International, cross-functional, and intercultural work experience
