Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilledPrivate Cloud, Virtualization, and Automation Architectto lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge private cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, virtualization technologies, and automation frameworks to support scalable and efficient IT environments. You will play a key role in shaping our cloud strategy, optimizing resources, and enabling seamless automation to deliver reliable, high-performance services across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement private cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance to support enterprise needs.

  • Lead architecture and solution design for virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KubeVirt, Nutanix) with a focus on reducing footprint and optimizing operational efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, vRealize Automation) to streamline provisioning, configuration management, and operational processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and application teams, to integrate automation and orchestration into the cloud environment.

  • Oversee and contribute to the migration of workloads from traditional data centers to private cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that the organization remains at the forefront of innovation in cloud and virtualization solutions.

  • Drive cost optimization efforts, including reducing vendor dependency and managing licensing costs by transitioning to open-source or alternative technologies where applicable.

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to engineering teams, enabling them to implement best practices for cloud and virtualization architecture.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational security, regulatory, and governance policies, particularly during the design and implementation of automation solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and automation to ensure service reliability and availability.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8+ years of progressively advancing experience in large-scale, enterprise class roles, with a focus on cloud architecture, virtualization, and automation.

  • Extensive experience with VMware, VCF, KubeVirt, Nutanix, vRealize Suite, Software Defined Networking, Physical Network, Storage, Containers, Public Cloud (Google, AWS, Azure), and other virtualization platforms.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing automation frameworks using tools like Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet/Chef, vRA/vRO, or equivalent.

  • Experience with orchestrators, configuration management frameworks, etc.

  • Familiarity with security fundamentals at the infrastructure level, including cloud, hypervisor, and operating system level.

  • Strong understanding of network architecture, storage systems, and security practices in private and public cloud environments.

  • Background in architecting complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology domain.

  • Experience as a solutions architect, enterprise architect, or in an architect consulting delivery role with a solution mentality.

  • Proven track record of working in a strategic advisory role with peers and business.

  • Experience in defining IT strategy, standards, and architecture.

Certifications(preferred):

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified OpenShift Administrator

  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or similar certifications in automation and cloud technologies.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of leading successful cloud and virtualization projects.

  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical work.
