About this Role:
- You lead a team of 5+ Deal Analysts who are responsible for servicing a portfolio of corporate borrowing accounts where TD is the direct lender or a participant of syndication.
- You are an expert in consortium lending / other multi-lender transactions, end- to-end credit lifecycle management in operations, and the usage of lending platform – LoanIQ; you are someone that the team go to for guidance, and business partners rely on for consultation.
- You understand the financial and operational risks and provide strong managerial oversight to ensure that your team meets all timelines, delivering excellent client service, managing risk while adhering to policies and procedures.
- You are accountable for the portfolio managed by your team, this will include overseeing loan transactions, documentation review, upkeeping and maintenance of client profiles/ records, daily transactional reconciliation, monitoring & balance of accounts, and other day-to-day account operations.
- You are the primary point of contact for escalation and problem resolutions for your team, internal/ external partners and clients; you maintain effective relationships with business partners, other support groups and escalation points in other lending institutions.
- You are a strong people leader by recruiting top talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and providing continuous coaching & training.
- You proactively identify any process gaps and ensure they are addressed in accordance to the bank's policies and fulfill audit requirements
- You are actively engaged in various initiatives, not only to lead and to challenge, but also to empower and foster a creative environment where innovative thinking is welcomed and supported. You lead by example as a member of ONE CLO to embrace collaboration across the teams.
Job Requirements:
- Strong knowledge, business acumen and proven experience in end- to end credit operations, loan lifecycle management, lending platform – LoanIQ, processes and procedure.
- Experienced people manager (or equivalent leader role) within large team operations where tight operational / financial controls are required
- People oriented leader who can motivate, inspire and coach
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiating skills with a proven ability to make an impact
- Proven ability to manage strategic relationship with multiple stakeholders, such as high profile clients, senior management and internal/external partners
- Proactive in developing and implementing innovative ideas that significantly mitigate risk and contribute to process optimization, automation and simplification
- Self-motivated and driven individual with a proven track record to deliver results
- University degree or equivalent in Business Management, Finance / Accounting designation is preferred
