Architect – Senior Manager

As a Sector Architect, you will act as a critical bridge between our clients' business needs and our technical solutions. You will apply your deep sector expertise and architectural acumen to define and design workable solutions that translate complex business requirements into tangible technology solutions that drive the right business outcomes for our clients. You will also work with relevant sector counterparts, account and GTM teams in identifying and navigating unique challenges in the sector such as regulatory changes, evolving technology standards, and sector-specific customer expectations to develop solutions that will prepare our client for potential disruption.

Your key responsibilities

As a Sector Architect, your primary focus will be to drive growth through the strategic application of various technologies to develop sector-specific solutions for our clients. You will:

  • Assess the sector's technology landscape to identify opportunities for disruptive solutions that can create competitive advantages and catalyze growth

  • Lead the integration of sector specific technologies that align with the sector’s strategic objectives, driving innovation and modernization of the technical stack

  • Develop architectural blueprints that not only meet current operational demands but also position the organization to capitalize on future technological advancements.

  • Serve as a thought leader in the sector, guiding both business and technical stakeholders through the complexities of solution design and implementation

  • Collaborate with sector counterparts, account management, and GTM teams to identify and overcome industry-specific challenges, ensuring our solutions are well-aligned with market needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Act as an intermediary between the business and the technology community, ensuring clear communication and understanding of goals, risks, and opportunities

  • Support technology investment planning and architecture governance, and manage software/hardware ecosystem partner relationships

  • Engage in continuous process improvement, leveraging insights from best practices and innovative research to enhance our technological offerings

  • Manage the effective delivery of complex technical initiatives, applying your deep expertise to inspire excellence and guide team members

  • Be accountable for meeting sales and revenue managed metrics, as well as quality of delivery spanning client service, quality and risk management, business and sales growth, solution development, and team collaboration.

Skills and attributes for success

As a Sector Tech Architect, you will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of engagements across the full spectrum of AM&M technology solutions including IIoT, Operational Technology, MES, Data/AI, etc.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 10 – 15 years of experience as a consultant in the IT field or comparable industry experience

  • 5+ years working within the Industrial Products, Mobility, Airspace and Defensesector

  • 5-10 years working with the full stack of technologies used by our manufacturing clients (e.g. MES, IoT, MRP/ERP, Data/AI, etc.)

  • In-depth knowledge of technology trends, especially those with the potential to disrupt and drive growth within the specified sector. Candidate should have a keen understanding of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and the relevant technology ecosystem from the shop floor to the top floor of our client’s operations

  • Proven expertise in designing IT solutions and architectures that enable business transformation and align with sector dynamics

  • Strong experience in leading strategic technology initiatives, with a clear focus on enhancing business performance and customer satisfaction

  • Adeptness at engaging with senior IT and business stakeholders, with the ability to articulate complex technology strategies in the context of business growth

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between technology and business units to achieve joint objectives

  • Experience coordinating complex transformations across multiple workstreams and audiences encompassing the business, technology, and partner ecosystem teams

  • A strong track record in developing strategic partnerships with industry leaders and partner ecosystem, driving innovation and new business opportunities

  • Degree emphasis in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, Engineering, Product Design, MIS, Mathematics, or other relevant field

  • Willingness to travel as needed to engage with clients, understand market dynamics, and lead transformation efforts

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience working with a strategy house, a Big 4, a boutique technology consulting firm or extensive industry experience preferred

  • Experience participating in development and implementation of IT strategy, digital transformation, Technology governance structures, and IT/OT Operating models.

  • Master’s Degree in one of these areas preferred

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $148,900 to $340,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $178,700 to $386,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
