Support West’s overall objectives, providing strategic leadership by setting the vision, strategy, and objectives for the global MRO category, across the enterprise.
Translate regional/global procurement strategy into detailed category plans with a set of measurable global, regional, and local targets and facilitate procurement processes and policies for regional/global alignment.
Implement and execute best-in-class decision making, e.g., Preferred Supplier programs, effective T&C structure and global agreements. Establishes proper metrics to ensure sourcing decisions follow TCO principles and delivers year over year cost savings.
Manage complex multi-year supplier relationships leading negotiations with these suppliers.
Plans, organizes, directs, controls and communicates all strategic sourcing activities related to assigned commodities and services to cross functional teams.
Proactively assesses internal and external process improvements and influences effective change and drive innovation and continuous improvements.
Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future (industry trends in pricing and availability that will impact the business) material availability, and prepares market analysis reports.
Responsible for timely reporting of agreed upon KPI’s and presenting Strategic Sourcing plans, activities and progress.
Collaborates with finance in managing and improving working capital year over year.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Technical curriculum, or non-academic bachelor of business administration.
Experience: 6-10 years of progressive business experience in sourcing/supplier/category management or related functions.
Competencies:
Supplier and contract management experience.
Ability to work with senior leadership teams at manufacturing sites and global headquarters.
Strong influencing, change management, and negotiation skills.
Present and advocate sourcing cases to a variety of audiences with self-confidence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in a Business or Technical curriculum, or equivalent.
Experience: 6-10 years of progressive business experience in sourcing/supplier/category management or related functions, preferably with chemical industry or pharmaceutical industry background.
