Tax Accountant, Tax, Global Compliance & Reporting - Financial Services Office (Banking & Capital Markets) (Senior) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Boston, MA.Provide clients with tax consulting, tax accounting, and tax compliance in the banking and capital markets industry. Provide tax advisory services for capital markets transactions, including the issuance, restructuring, and retirements of debt instruments, hedging and derivative transactions. Research tax technical issues and write opinions and tax memos for clients on specific tax issues. Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. Assist in the development of recommendations and implementation plans.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Business, Law or a related field, plus 2 years of related work experience; OR a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Business, Law or a related field, plus 1 year of related work experience.Of the required work experience, must have 1 year of relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in business or the banking industry.Must have 1 year of work experience in federal income taxation.Must have 1 year of experience with ASC 740Must have 1 year of experience serving clients in the banking/capital markets industry, including retail, commercial or investment banks, brokers/dealers, or similar institutions.Must have 1 year of experience with Tax Forms, including 1120, 1120 F, 1065, 8865, 5471, 8858, and/or 8621.Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
