Description
This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong engineering, communication, and project management skills to handle responsibilities, which include: - Defining product features, functional specs, resource planning, and development schedules- Serving as a leader on projects of significant size and complexity- Scoping and prioritizing features and bug fixes- Advising and encouraging engineering best practices to deliver software of the highest quality
Key Qualifications
  • Experience leading and growing a software engineering team
  • Proficiency in Apple systems programming languages, such as Objective-C or Swift
  • Experience using Apple-native frameworks, such as UIKit, AppKit and CloudKit
  • Experience with Unix development, daemons, cross-process communication
  • Track record of running engineering processes and leading successful completion of large projects
  • Strong communication across a wide range of audiences, from engineers to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in software development for Apple devices, and a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals
  • Experience building productive relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Desire and ability to learn independently and comfortable with being in the details
Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400 and $316,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
