Lead Maintenance Engineer (HVAC & Purified Water Systems)

Lead Maintenance Engineer (HVAC and purified water system)
In this role, you will:
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in IPT Maintenance team with in-depth knowledge in Purified water system, HVAC, and Electrical & Instrumentation.
- You will take ownership for the HVAC and purified water system day to day support and continues improvement.
- Experience in manufacturing in a GMP HVAC environment utilizing ISO 14644-1 classifications.
- Respond to BMS/EMS alerts, investigate and feedback on any outstanding issues or events and respond to emergency situations and be on standby duty as required.
- Lead Quality Risk assessment and develop a yearly trend for purified water system and HVAC system.
- Develop and implement maintenance program, preventive maintenance procedures and spare parts strategy for safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the systems/Equipment’s.
- Shape data-driven decisions that solve business challenges and deliver on desired outcomes and people experience.
- Drive innovation, every plant area is a model area using our Production System.
Safety & compliance
- Lead or support investigation, participate in trouble shooting and root cause analysis for various operational events, and ensure that all relevant engineering CAPA are completed within agreed timeline.
- Provide support and actively participate in the site expansion project related to the HVAC and water systems, ensuring compliance with the company’s requirements.
- Lead and manage change control on project activities or act as technical advisor for system modifications, capital projects and other identified plant improvement projects in line with defined specifications, budget, and qualification of facilities in accordance with site to approved procedures.
- Proactively review and challenge current activities to reduce safety risk for employees and quality risks for company’s products.
- Develop commissioning, qualification (IQ, OQ) activities are executed accordingly and in compliance.
- Maintain HVAC and Purified water systems are in optimum condition in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & EHS requirements.
- Lead/participate in equipment failure troubleshooting and deviation investigations whenever required.
- Provide input during Basis of Design (BOD) and Detailed Design during large capital projects, applying good maintenance and reliability engineering principles whenever required.
Enhance and uphold maintenance quality.
- Implements technical solutions to improve equipment uptime and asset utilization through use of Continuous Improvement mindset (Lean methodologies)
- Supports Maintenance Lead to meet Profit Plan targets, optimize maintenance and product standard cost effectiveness in accordance with cGMP and Safety guidelines.
- Responsible for improving the reliability of equipment and maintenance processes by applying the principles of Reliability Centered Maintenance.
- Lead and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for surfaced issues and implement a robust solution.
Operations excellence
- Plans, monitors, schedules, and implements measures on the Planned Preventive Maintenance Program and also ensures that the work is done in accordance with schedule and specification.
- Regularly review and revise maintenance program and procedures to increase equipment reliability, reduce waste and improve overall asset care process & cost efficiency.
- Work with Engineering & Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) to execute a 'reliability-centric’ maintenance plan.
- Share best practices and lessons learned with the objective of improving asset utilization.
- Undertake activities to support realization of production, maintenance and product cost effectiveness with emphasis on equipment reliability and maintenance expenses.
- Conducts Maintenance effectiveness / optimization reviews along with IPT maintenance leads/Engineers/Technicians.
Continuous Improvements (CI)
- Utilize Lean methodologies such as 5S, Standard Work, real-time problem solving (RTPS), to support execution of continuous improvement activities.
- Support the development of continuous improvement framework and work with the Maintenance team to identify opportunities.
- Compile and review data and develops action plans for critical HVAC systems and Purified water systems to improve reliability and reduce M&R cost.
- Identify water and HVAC system repair and replacement projects, plan and develop schedules, acquire materials, prepare budgets, and develop an RFC for job execution.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
- 5 to 8 years of maintenance work experience in Chemical, Semiconductor, aviation, oil & gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Analytical and Problems solving skill with regard to Purified water system and HVAC Systems
- Knowledge in HVAC and Purified water system operation and Maintenance principle.
- Experience in manufacturing in a GMP HVAC environment utilizing ISO 14644-1 classifications.
- Knowledge of various clean room standards across the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry will be an added advantage.
- Familiar with Life cycle of the HVAC system (from design, operations, controls monitoring, maintenance and obsolescence management).
- Knowledge and experience working within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
- Demonstrated use of Reliability analysis tools such as FME, RCFA, etc.
