This job aims to form a good foundation particularly on regulatory interaction by submission of written reports and having sound verbal dialogue with the local regulatory bodies. This job requires collaborations internally and externally to provide reasonable level of transparency to the regulator with an ultimate goal of maintaining PayPal's license granted. It involves analyzing and assessing risks, providing informed recommendations for mitigation strategies, and engaging with stakeholders for reasonably informed decisions relative to regulatory compliance.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate internally to influence the quality and effectiveness of risk management processes.
  • Analyze and assess risks to provide informed recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • Work outside defined processes to determine appropriate actions in complex situations.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for entry-level and developing colleagues on risk management practices and strategies
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate risk assessments and proposed solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Review proposals given by thefirst-line-of-defenseteams on product/services and customer communications from regulatory risk and compliance perspectives.
  • Manage day-to-day communications with regulators on regulatory filings, moderate-risk incidents and escalated customer complaints
  • Craft write-ups that is well-summarized and provide reasonable amount of transparency and logical elaboration of the causes and remediation
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for staff-level colleagues on risk management practices and strategies
