What you'll do

In the role as Expert DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) your focus will be on network infrastructure, and you will be responsible to develop concepts and automation to seamlessly introduce new technology components and help to advance and scale our technology stack across multi-cloud platforms.

• Create and define requirements and concepts of network and/or security infrastructure
• Conducting Proof of Concepts and development of technical solutions
• Technical support and guidance for Operations team
• Create and maintain network documentation, security concepts, provide knowledge transfers to Ops teams

What you bring

• Experience in the planning, design, construction and commissioning of complex network and security environments.
• In-depth expertise in data transport networks (IPv4 and IPv6, MPLS, VPN, network security e.g . 802.1x, PKI)
• Knowledge of security systems such as firewall, proxy, IDS/IPS and load balancing solutions.
• Hands-on experience of Unix/Linux Operating System
• Good knowledge on solution integration/optimization, configuring network elements and trouble-shooting IP networks (Cisco CCNP Datacenter/Cloud/Service Provider certification or equivalent from other vendors is desired)
• Deep understanding of IP routing protocols, TCP and CIDR subnetting.
• Knowledge of technologies such SDN, VMware NSX-T and Openstack is a plus
• Experience on network configuration of multi-cloud landscapes (at least one of the following IaaS providers: Azure, GCP, AWS, AliCloud, SAP Cloud, Cloud Foundry (PaaS)) (certification is a plus)
• Knowledge of programming in Python/Ansible, Terraform, Perl for network automation is desired
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and one of the K8s Networking solutions (Calico, Cilium or Flannel) is desired, Gardener and Istio is a plus
• Knowledge of SAP Basis (ABAP/NetWeaver/BTP Architecture) is an advantage
