Role Description :

As a Senior Associate in the MENA Operations team within the AWS Function, you will support the delivery of high-quality services to our internal clients, working directly with the MENA Operations Leader. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Role and Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with Sub-Function Leader to actively support in achieving sub-function goals, managing stakeholder expectations and executing project plans as needed
  • Support implementation of firmwide and function specific policies and procedures
  • Respond to urgent administrative queries facilitating the delivery of effective solutions
  • Build understanding of key issues and effectively identify and communicate priorities
  • Assist in executing leadership plans ensuring work is completed within allocated budget
  • Prepare and provide management reports leadership on a periodic basis
Resource Management
  • Manage and lead recruitment in collaboration with the Central Recruitment Team (CRT)
  • Proactively consult with executives on resource requirements and/or issues
  • Assist and be involved in interviews and the recruitment process including internal transfers
  • Manage and lead preboarding and onboarding processes in collaboration with the MENA Onboarding team
  • Monitor team workload ensuring appropriate allocation of support is always provided to the business
  • Assist with buddy and counselor allocation
  • Ensure exit process of leavers is completed smoothly and concerned teams are informed
Performance Management
  • Identify new counselors and support in assessing suitability
  • Support in planning and arranging CC communications and meetings on behalf of Operations Leader
  • Manage reporting and provide timely to leadership

Change Management

  • Review scope of work on a regular basis to find ways to improve level of support provided to the business
  • Support the implementation of smarter ways of working and drive further efficiency
  • Facilitate projects and initiatives implementation
  • Actively support function-wide change efforts and further digitization agenda
Other Responsibilities
  • Act as the point of contact to the internal team
  • Actively develop strong relationships with local teams and broader AWS/CBS network
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) on key Operations areas
  • Participate in networking opportunities amongst the wider team to collaborate, share knowledge and encourage team engagement
  • Contribute to regional initiatives of strengthening and streamlining the function
  • Review Function Policies & Procedures (P&Ps) documents to ensure it remains updated to new changes
  • Provide leave cover to sub-function leader and ensure all areas are managed without disruption
  • Apply the firm's policies, procedures, risk and confidentiality guidelines at all times
  • Maintain independence and objectivity, complying with all applicable professional standards, EY policies and regulatory requirements
