As a Linux Driver Release Manager, you will coordinate with software developers, QA engineers, and project managers to facilitate the timely and successful release of Linux drivers for our hardware products. You will play important role in the entire release lifecycle, from planning and development to testing, documentation, and release.

As member of our team, you will:

  • Develop and maintain the release management process for Linux drivers, including scheduling, coordination, and release activities.
  • Ensure that all driver releases are compliant with relevant Linux kernel versions and distributions.
  • Coordinate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of drivers before release.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of release documentation, including release notes and installation guides.
  • Communicate release status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and upper management.
  • Collaborate with support teams to troubleshoot and resolve any post-release issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Linux kernel developments and community standards.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

You must possess the minimum requirements noted below and minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 6+ years of related experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in software release management, with a focus on Linux environments.
  • 5 + years of experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux distributions commonly used in enterprise environments (e.g., Red Hat, SUSE, Ubuntu).
  • Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or relevant technical certifications (e.g., Linux Foundation Certified Engineer).
  • Prior experience working in a hardware/software integration context.
