Job Duties:
Commissioning Control System
- Install pre-engineered software, checkout control systems, start-up, and commission systems and fine tune their operations as per customer requirements or job specifications or both. Use productivity tools such as wireless commissioning timprove efficiency
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ability tmake software changes tmeet specific requirements.
- Be aware of Honeywell’s scope of work and protect financial impact due tchanges by supporting and obtaining change orders wherever appropriate
- Coordination with other trades and customer/General Contractors/Mechanical Contractors as well as Honeywell engineering
- Coordinate work with other trades and upper tier contractors taccomplish Honeywell’s commissioning task most effectively. Specifically work with installing contractor and ensure installation is completed per Honeywell’s drawings and guidelines
- Support work with system balancer as necessary
Customer Management
- Conduct basic system functional testing as required per contract
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Be responsible for Honeywell’s assets such as tools, software, and site database
- Keep documentation and paperwork up to date
- Maintain functional testing documentation as required
Health and Safety
- Carry out site hazard and risk assessments for Honeywell tasks, including proper use of safety personal protection equipment.
Other Requirements
- Security and other clearances as required by customer
- Ability ttravel throughout the service area, with occasional overnight stays
- The successful candidate must have a driving record acceptable tHoneywell
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate, technical college degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering OR in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED plus
- 3 years' experience in technically related field work in HVAC, fire, security and/or IT.
- 3 years' experience in HVAC systems, control systems, mechanical system operation and building facilities.
- Honeywell installed systems HVAC product knowledge
- 3 years' experience with building systems. Programming, PC, and general networking knowledge.
- 1 year experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet browsers
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
- Coaching and mentoring skills to guide Associate Install Technical Specialists
