What you'll do...

This is a Senior role that will be based in Bentonville to support the Demo Health Center for software validation that impacts all live Health Centers. The validation activities will be centered around The patient experience at the Health Centers, The Provider experience at the Health Centers, and the Associates that are building software, validating the software, installing hardware, configuring hardware and software and supporting the clients and providers at the Health Centers.


What you'll do:

  • Participating in a collaborative team designing mature and repeatable processes to deploy technology to the Walmart Health Centers and enabling a consistent and high-quality patient experience across all clinics.
  • Design & setup various devices/vendor software in the Demo Health Center to support the Health Centers.
  • Leverage the Demo Health Center to assist validation of software and hardware to replicate and troubleshoot production items.
  • Leveraging exposure gained in various emerging technologies to improve solutions providing patient care in Walmart Health Centers.
  • Software Management and maintenance of the Demo Walmart Health Center by collaborating with the Clinical Specialists supporting the Live Health Centers.
  • Defining the processes for using the Demo Health Centers for validation.
  • Learn and share technical expertise and clinical workflow understanding with the team.
  • Participate in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project, product and business requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirement); communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; enhancing test scenarios to prevent re-occurrences of defects; ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Providing high quality technical expertise in networking, troubleshooting hardware & software issues

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelors in I.T. and healthcare support related field with 3+ years of experience or without degree 5+ years of clinical informatics experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment. Comfortable working within the registry.
  • Experience working on FDA regulated devices in a controlled environment.
  • Experience working on teams and implementing in a collaborative Agile approach, including use of JIRA.
  • Experience with and PACS/EMR/RIS/HIS or various modality/clinical devices is a plus.
  • Understanding computer science fundamentals in algorithms, databases, operating systems, etc.
  • Experience with EMR integration and data interoperability, specifically with Epic is a plus.
  • Knowledge of health data exchange standards (such as HL7, FHIR, EDI, CDA, etc.), DICOM standard, tagging and DICOM data migrations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure/networking, clinical devices and workflows, clinical support.
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud architecture (Azure)
  • Understanding of Privacy and HIPAA enforcements in dealing with healthcare data and dataflow.
  • Ability to coordinate, lead and solve clinical I.T. problems while identifying any workflow or training gaps. Individuals will need to be able to ask the right questions and solve complex problems with minimal assistance.
