Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in planning-level aviation assignments
- Perform electrical engineering design including computer modeling, calculations, and reporting
- Prepare specifications and perform plan set production for airfield projects
- Coordinate and collaborate with other aviation design professionals and disciplines as part of a cohesive design team
- Perform bid-phase and construction-phase services such as answering requests for information, preparing design clarifications, reviewing shop drawings, and submittals
- Attend site visits to perform engineering services to include construction quality, acceptance testing and construction management activities
- Attend and participate in design team and client meetings
- Attend industry-level training and collaboration events
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills
- Registered Professional Engineer
- Airfield lighting and power distribution experience
- Computer-Aided Drafting and Engineering (CAD/CAE) knowledge
- United States Citizenship
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A passion for aviation
- Unified Facility Criteria and Unified Facility Guide Specification experience
- Familiarity or experience with design and analysis software such as SKM, AGi32, Revit, and ArcGIS
