Jacobs is construction supervision consultant for a multi-billion development mixed-use historic, culture and lifestyle destination. The project will be the Kingdom’s historic and cultural heart, proudly showcasing to the world Saudi Arabia’s 300+ years of history through an engaging and inspiring set of heritage, hospitality, education, retail and dining experiences for residents and visitors. It aims to be developed as an urban, mixed-use development inspired by the principles of both new urbanisms ensuring its main anchors rooted in its historic culture and heritage. Ultimately, the destination will include museums, galleries, restaurants, retail experiences, public squares, hotels, multiple recreational spaces, residences, educational institutions and offices.

Role Responsibilities

Responsible for carrying out inspection of site works as part of the construction supervision of the projects to ensure that the approved design documentation is safely and accurately implemented on site within the designated area of responsibility. Ensure that the requirements of the construction contract are followed by holding the Contractor accountable for daily on-site targets and maintain trackers as required.

Make a difference. You will be a key part of our site supervision team and will be heavily involved our infrastructure construction projects. In addition, your duties will be to:

Principal Accountabilities

· Always ensuring the safety and quality of the works, taking immediate action where required and escalating to the Resident Engineer immediately all key issues.

· Monitoring the contractor’s compliance with their ITP’s and participate in witness and review points when requested via the Inspection and Test Request (ITR) process.

· Ensuring the Contractor is working from the latest approved versions of all technical documents.

· Keeping the Assistant Resident Engineer and Quality Manager informed of technical issues or non-conformities on site.

· Monitoring the contractor’s compliance with HSEQ requirements, escalating issues and seeking intervention where required.

· Prepare Daily Surveillance Reports

· Conducting inspections in accordance with the Contractor’s Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) intervention points. Ascertain that work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practice.

· Recommends or notes work requiring the issuance of NCR to Contractor’s QC representative. Issues NNC if Contractor does not issue an NCR or remedy the situation.

· Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working to the Jacobs H&S principles.

· Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorised disclosure, modification or destruction. Never knowingly put Jacobs or client’s information or information systems at risk.

Here's what you'll need

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Wet Utilities Inspector, preferably on large-scale infrastructure projects.

· Strong expertise in utility installation processes, materials, and equipment related to water supply, sewage, and drainage systems.

· In-depth knowledge of local regulations and standards governing wet utilities in Saudi Arabia.

· Knowledge and experience of construction quality control systems and processes.

· Knowledge and experience of site based HSEQ processes and procedures/regulations.

· You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and be able to work in a multi-cultural and multi-discipline team
