Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Mainframe Engineer (multiple positions) in Atlanta, GA.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, operate and maintain the Bank’s software designs;
• Improve CICS Mainframe batch system stability and performance;
• Create optimal design adhering to architectural best practices;
• Consider scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs;
• Conduct code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures;
• Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices;
• Design and develop changes to Customer Information Control System (CICS) to ensure the daily batch can handle high volume transactions;
• Rewrite and update older technology systems to reduce or prevent technical dept.

Basic Qualifications:

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Developer or in a related occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:
Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following:

Project Management;Software Development Processes and Procedures;Agile Scrum Methodology;Mainframe: Z/OS, JCL, COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, DB2 Stored Procedures/API Services;Amazon Web Services (AWS), Core Java, MQ, Python, SAS.

Teams may work from home and the office. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $149,760.00- $164,736.00
