Your Role and Responsibilities- System Administration:
- Software Installation and Configuration:Installing, configuring, and maintaining software applications and utilities on the mainframe system, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- System Monitoring and Performance Tuning:Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks or areas for improvement, and implementing optimizations to enhance overall efficiency and reliability.
- Security Management:Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the mainframe system from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
- Backup and Recovery:Developing and implementing backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity during system failures or disasters.
- Troubleshooting:Diagnosing and resolving technical issues and system errors, independently or in collaboration with other IT personnel or vendors.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Several years of experience as a Mainframe System Administrator on Operating Systems such as z/OS.
- Responsible, independent, organized, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills .
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English, Hebrew) .
- Highly motivated team player, ready to collaborate with others to get things done .

- BSc/MSc in computer science/engineering .
