What You’ll DoWhat You’ll Bring
- Identify, source, and procure required data acquisition and sensors
- Installation of sensors and data acquisition hardware on the vehicle as identified by test plans
- Set up a data acquisition program and validate the connectivity of all the sensors
- Installation, calibration, and set up of strain gauges is a plus
- Maintain sensor library, sensor repair, and coordinate calibration activities of all instrumentation
- Create daily work plans to achieve test plan goals on schedule
- Design and create custom brackets and fixtures
- Support testing activities and/or vehicle preparation and tear-down as required by workflow priority
- Perform onsite support and testing while monitoring and validating data
- Basic data analysis and data cleanup by working closely with multiple engineering teams
- Experience instrumenting vehicles with Accelerometers, Loadcells, Pressure sensors, Thermocouples, Wheel Force Transducers, Strain Gages, etc
- Experience with data acquisition systems like DTS, SOMAT, NI, DEWESOFT, etc
- Formal electronics training (AC/DC circuits, formulae, and components) or Equivalent work experience
- Ability to operate and maintain a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, and shop equipment, for the servicing of automobiles
- Ability to operate and use diagnostic scan tools, scopes, meters, and other test equipment
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
- A minimum of 3 years of instrumentation and data acquisition experience or applicable degree/certification
- Valid driver's license required
- Flexibility to travel domestically (Up to 50%)
