We are looking for people that have a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions. You will have past experience working as a systems engineer/architect. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class joint solutions built on AWS.Up to 30% travel is required.Key job responsibilities
- You will dive deeply into technical details (e.g. design choices, best practices, use cases) with customer and partner teams
- Bring deep Financial Services domain knowledge
- Be able to influence executive-level stakeholders
- Be a key contributor to constructive technical solutions discussions
- You will help partners identify both the opportunities and risks with their technical decisions
- You will take part in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).Diverse ExperiencesAmazon values diverse experiences. - 6+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 6+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 5+ years experience in Insurance or Financial Services field

- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
