What You’ll Do

As a Cloud engineer for public and private clouds, you should be skilled in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), infrastructure automation (Terraform, CloudFormation), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), configuration management, and CI/CD practices. You must have proficiency in scripting languages, version control systems like Git, and monitoring tools. Key soft skills include strong communication, problem-solving, adaptability to new technologies, project management, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Certifications in cloud technologies are a plus.

Who You Are

This is a technical role that requires a strong background in software development and capability to address complex problems concerning public and private cloud, ability to work with multiple teams located in different time zones. You will have Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, information technology, or mathematics with about 4-5 years of proven experience.

You will contribute to the team in the following ways:

  • Be familiar with waterfall and agile development and testing methodologies. Daily activity will be based on agile.
  • At the direction of architects, develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy AWS applications, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for public and private cloud solutions such as AWS, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Solve incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
  • Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity

Experience/Skills required:

  • 4-5 or more years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms.Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected framework
  • Proficiency with public cloud providers like AWS Cloud Platform, and experience with private cloud technologies such as OpenStack, VMware
  • Knowledge of tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other container management systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI
  • Understanding of cloud networking principles and virtual networks.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools, including identity and access management (IAM), security groups, and encryption.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce API and Salesforce Architecture is preferred.
  • AWS practitioner certification or other level certification
