Water Operations Specialistand have a direct hand in challenging today and reinventing tomorrow! As a Water Operations Specialist, you’ll be working with operational delivery managers and our clients to support various projects within the FTC portfolio. You'll provide technical skills in water systems on projects for internal and external Jacobs and O&M Full Contract Operations (FCO) clients. In addition, you'll provide technical knowledge on project development, facility designs, startups or commissioning, system reviews or optimizations, and O&M pricing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provides client and business development support for CH2MHILL projects or pursuits
• Evaluates facilities operations, maintenance and management, and recommend improvements Assists with startups, development of operational budgets, guidelines, performs training, and performance evaluations for new facilities and execute the same
• Analyzes process control procedures and recommend changes, where needed
• Establishes cooperative relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and clients
• Provides onsite supervisory technical and managerial functions in support of internal or external client projects on short-term (up to 6 months) basis, as necessary
• Fills in for a FCO project manager, process lead or maintenance lead on short-term (up to 3 months) basis, as necessary
• Prepares budgets, reports, and scopes for CH2M HILL projects or pursuits
• Creates Standard Operating Procedures, Process Control Narratives, and O&M Manuals for our projects
• Provides leadership and support of key technical tools used in O&M Consulting services, such as pricing and process models, maintenance models, training programs, staffing analysis tools, and other core business processes fundamental to performing our consulting activities.
• Maintains a safe environment and person while enforcing same standards for the business and O&M Coworkers
• Creates and delivers presentations (written and oral) to internal and external clients on findings related to project work
• Any other related duty as assigned or requested
This is a hybrid position working from home with travel requirements to project sites.
• Water or Wastewater certification of the highest level in the state located
• Ten (10) years experience in water/wastewater system facilities including knowledge of the technical aspects of water/wastewater system budget preparation and financial accountability
• Knowledge of safety and quality processes
• Knowledge and experience with computer software including but, not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Valid U.S. State Driver License with no major infractions
• Valid U.S. passport or eligible to obtain within 6 months
• A combination of the appropriate type and level of education and experience maybe substituted for the minimum education requirements
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, including internationally
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
• High school education with post education in technical or college level courses
• International travel and work experience preferred
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
The work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as, outdoors which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
