Essential Responsibilities:

  • Uses data to build insights on product or platform requirements consistent with the shared vision for the product.
  • Gathers insights from the customer experience and customer needs to input to product requirements
  • Analyzes research, market analysis and usability studies, research and market analysis to support data-driven decision making
  • Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Lead sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives to drive execution. Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed.
  • Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers to identify new opportunities.

Expected Qualifications:

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with policy, analyticsand business teams to understand the crux of the policy requirements and the inherent compliance risks that need to be addressed in PayPal’s product offerings in scope.

  • Establish deep understanding of platform and technology in product area to create scalable & flexible solutions.

  • Author product requirements, epics, user stories across multiple complex and cross-functional feature/ service areas and create flow documents to ensure solutions are architected to cover Business needs and requirements.

  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact and work with implementation teams to deliver multi sprint roadmaps while optimizingtime to market.

  • Lead the discovery phases of new feature rollouts with a set of cross functional stakeholders from various business teams, engineering, and other product managers across the organization.

  • Define product outcomes, evangelize across the cross functional organization.

  • Evaluate trade-offs amongst multiple solutions and influence roadmap for one or more service/feature areas based on technical feasibility, business timelinesand customer impact.

  • Think strategically and creatively to gather product and customer insights and help define the Product Vision and Strategy

  • Recommend new processes, workarounds, and ability to challenge the status quo.

  • Conduct market research, gather feedback from internal regional & operations teams and analyze existing product flows, contact reasons and net-promoter-scores to identifyexperience gaps.

  • Viewed as a service or product expert for a single product/service area or as having broad experience that is helpful on new initiatives.

  • Build trust and effective relationships withpeers/cross-functionalteams.


Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, with a significant portion focused on Compliance Risk Management, and RegTech products.

  • The individual will be a horizontal leader who will work with several functional experts to outline the platform as a product, obsessing about platform foundations and integrity,platform adoption via APIs, adoption tools and documentation for 1st, 2nd and even 3rd party users and hyper-focus on usage via monitoring and dashboards.

  • Good understanding of Compliance domain - specifically Sanctions and AML Compliance - key global and regional regulators, regulatory expectationsand challenges in balancing compliance requirements with operational efficiencies & business/customer impact.

  • Good understanding of Payment Compliance regulations, general payment processing flows and inherent steps - auth/capture, settlement and reconciliation.

  • Strong familiarity with screening techniques, watchlist formats, integration challenges with list providers and false positive reduction methodologies

  • Strong platform first thinking

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Skilledat working with cross functional groups and matrix organizations in multiple geographies.

  • Analyze complex problems, make data-driven decisions, and balance competing priorities (e.g., risk mitigation vs. operational efficiency vs. cost).

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills – ability to cut through noise and focus on what really matters. Out of the box thinker and ability to come up withcreative solutions to customer problems.

  • Proven ability to deliver on a new product challenge effectively and efficiently.
