Role Responsibilities

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.

  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.

  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic. thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of definedinstructions/parameters.A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team.

  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude to improve process quality, cost, and delivery. Ability to utilize technical communication skills to train technicians and group leaders.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar discipline from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job FamilyGroup(s)/Function(s).


Desired Characteristics
  • 2 years’ experience as a process engineer in Manufacturing & Production environments.

  • Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve problems on complex electro-mechanical equipment.

  • Establish project management skills to solve process & product defects to root cause.

  • Ability to document, plan, and execute qualification plans and reports.

  • Ability to learn Lean & Six Sigma manufacturing skills for continuous process improvements.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
