Corporate & Institutional Banking Development Program Analyst/Associate – Commercial & Corporate Banking
The Commercial & Corporate Banking Development Program is approximately a 24–36-month experience, where you will be exposed to multiple disciplines of banking, enabling you to hone your financial and client-facing skills across many industries and develop deep understanding of PNC’s product suite. You will enter the program as part of a cohort giving you an immediate peer network dispersed throughout the bank and will spend the first few months in a classroom setting gaining knowledge on credit solutions and risk management.
Post-classroom learning, you will be exposed to some of the following segments across PNC:
- Commercial Banking – Serves and advises companies with annual revenues between $5 million and $50 million.
- Corporate Banking – Serves and advises companies with annual revenue in excess of $50 million.
- Diversified Industries Group – Serves and advises clients with industry expertise in healthcare, utilities, oil & gas, metals & mining, chemicals, life sciences/pharma, technology, or food & beverage.
- Public Finance – Serves and advises local or major government entities, higher education institutions and not-for-profits.
- Equipment Finance – Develops customized leases or loans for a client’s various equipment acquisitions including aircraft, vehicles, railcars, machinery, material handling, technology, etc. for all of the various segments listed above.
- Credit Products Group – Structures loans, underwrites transactions, and manages a loan portfolio for various segments including Corporate Banking, Diversified Industries Group, Public Finance, Financial Institutions Group, etc.
While in the development program, you will cover and support a specific region and will sit in one of the PNC’s hub locations, which include:
Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Cincinnati, OH, Cleveland, OH Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, East Brunswick, NJ, Houston, TX, Irvine, CA, Philadelphia, PA, Phoenix, AZ, Pittsburgh, PA, Troy, MI, and Washington DC
This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.
Base Salary:$39,100 - 126,500
Job Profile:
- Participates as an analyst/associate in the line of business development program.
- Performs or assists the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g., deal, sales, process support, internal or external customer interaction, or supporting internal projects). Works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority.
- Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g., identifies and networks with business representatives and peers, participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach).
- Participates in formal learning (e.g., classroom, web-based or virtual) and completes related activities and projects.
- Supports the internal and external customer experience by providing excellent service at all times; takes accountability and ensures problem resolution.
Required Education and Experience:
- Preferred business relevant majors (e.g., Finance, Accounting, IT, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, HR, Management, Communications, Business Law, Psychology, Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Actuarial Sciences), Minimum GPA 3.2.
- Roles at this level are filled by recent university / college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills. Includes individuals joining the organization through a corporate development/training program.
