In this role, you’re expected to:
- The primary responsibility of the employee will be to ensure BAU (Business as Usual) completion, and the transactions and reporting are processed/done within FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act) guidelines.
- To manage regulatory reporting for capital account transactions in line with FEMA checklist.
- The role demands extensive coordination with front end teams / compliance and clients for scrutiny and reporting of capital account transactions.
- This role is critical from FEMA perspective and requires specialized skills and expertise in hand holding capital account cross border transactions and managing other parallel processes like supporting MIS (Management Information System) reporting to internal stakeholders as well as coordinating and reporting to the regulators.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a related role preferred.
- FEMA Knowledge on Capital Accounts preferred [Overseas Direct Investment (ODI), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), External Commercial Borrowings (ECB), Branch/Liaison/project office]
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Effective analytic and presentation skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
