Essential Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manage a large portfolio of accounts while providing superior customer support.
  • Perform in-depth account analysis to identify payment trends, credit risks, and root causes of delinquencies.
  • Initiate collection activities including outbound calls, emails, and formal notices.
  • Resolve billing disputes and collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with order release/hold based on account analysis.
  • Escalate accounts to management based on account history and risk assessment.
  • Document all collection efforts in the system with accuracy and detail.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives related to collection processes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments (e.g., sales, cash app, customer service) to resolve disputes.
  • Work to reduce unapplied or unidentified funds.
  • Initiate refunds and make recommendations to management for bad debt.

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree required but preferred fields in accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of business-to-business collections experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of collections processes and credit policies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as required.
  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with large volumes of accounts in a B2B environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • Experience in Accounting systems required (e.g., JDE, HighRadius).
  • Bilingual (Spanish, etc.) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for extended periods at a workstation or mobile equipment.

Visual Acuity:

  • Perform computer work, prepare and analyze data, and extensive reading.

Working Environment:

  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on-site visits (i.e., safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
