As a Compliance Risk Management within the Global Financial Crimes Compliance KYC Team, you will help to manage the Firm’s KYC program with a focus on the creation and ongoing maintenance of Global KYC policies and standards. Through this role, you will further develop the Firm’s KYC program, advise senior management across multiple lines of businesses on KYC matters, and ensure that KYC requirements are properly implemented, maintained and kept current with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. For this position, you must have knowledge and experience in Compliance, as well as familiarity with regulatory and/or audit best practices, and the ability to form strong partnerships with Line of Business (LOB), global and regional Compliance teams, Internal Audit, Operational Risk and other Control functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Take ownership and execute KYC initiatives resulting from regulatory changes, new business growth or internal KYC transformation and modernization
- Liaise with Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs) to deliver on KYC program deliverables
- Understand of the regulatory landscape to quickly identify and adapt to emerging compliance risks for KYC and augment the program accordingly
- Asses KYC compliance issues and identify potential trouble spots; influence related remediation activities, including timely closure of action plans developed in response to audits and regulatory examinations
- Partner closely with senior compliance officers covering KYC across the Firm to confirm consistent interpretation and application of existing and new regulatory requirements – including both the spirit and intent of the law
- Provide thought leadership by leading change through an entrepreneurial mindset
- Develop management, stakeholder, and regulator presentations in order to communicate issues, recommendations, and status of initiatives
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- AML/BSA/KYC Compliance or other related experience such as Risk management, Audit or similar Control-related experience that includes policy writing
- Strong understanding of relevant statutory and regulatory requirements across the globe in relation to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing, with the ability to understand, interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements to business practices to facilitate cooperative discussion with stakeholders
- Ability to establish credibility, strong partnerships and influence a broad stakeholder group which includes senior business leaders, control functions, and corporate partners globally
- Possess strong written and oral executive-level communications skills
- Detail-oriented; possess a high-level of attention to detail and quality for their work product
