This individual will lead a technical team to develop and manage software applications for MRI. The role involves ensuring that software solutions meet business needs and customer requirements through global, cross-functional collaboration.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

Be responsible for a team of engineers delivering Software solution to a portfolio of MRI products. Support software releases and manage the installed base (IB). Build a world class software development team to consistently deliver complex software platforms and research projects of varying size and duration. Recruit, develop, mentor, and coach team members within the Technology Career Development (TCD) framework. Manage a team responsible for application, front end and back end development using the latest technologies and methodologies adopted from industry wide practices. Manage resource assignment, prioritization, headcount, and budget. Operate as a engaged leader who serves as a subject matter and technical expert for assigned programs and development initiatives. Lead SW application development for complex MR subsystems, including MR Clinic application, software application across various MR product frequencies (1.5T, 3.0T, 7.0T, and PETMR). Work with others to define future technology platforms and architecture for products and services. Drive a continuous learning culture to help guide continuous improvements. Provide leadership on Lean/Agile principles and development practices. Actively pursue new methods and practices to increase productivity. Utilize project management tools to track progress and recognize key risk areas for specific implementations. Assist in the resolution of conflicting priorities through the proactive communication of requirements, timelines and stakeholders.

Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing). Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with significant experience. 5 years of relevant experience in software development using modern object-oriented languages. 2 years of project, product, or functional leadership experience. Experience in leading individual contributors. Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members. Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization.

Desired Characteristics:

Advanced degrees (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science or “STEM”. 10 years of relevant work experience. 5 years of leadership experience. Experience in the healthcare device industry. Experience with strategic suppliers and manufacturing professionals. Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS). Strong influencing skills with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to motivate and inspire others. Excellent communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills.
