Monitor and track duty drawback claims, ensuring timely submission and resolution.
HTS Classification:
Accurately classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
Conduct research and analysis to determine the correct HTS codes for new and existing products.
Maintain and update the HTS classification database/SAP/GTS to reflect changes in product lines
Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on duty drawback and HTS classification processes and requirements.
Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Audits and Reporting:
Assist in preparing for and responding to audits by US Customs and any other regulatory bodies.
Generate regular reports on duty drawback claims and HTS classifications for management review.
3-5 years of experience in trade compliance, with a focus on duty drawback and HTS classification.
In-depth knowledge HTS classification principles.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with trade compliance software and tools.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
Attention to Detail : Meticulous in ensuring accuracy and compliance in all aspects of duty drawback and HTS classification.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and driving positive change.
