Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drives product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product.
  • Plans and implements the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability.
  • Assesses the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and decision making.
  • Sets up data gathering mechanisms relative to the metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis.
  • Leads workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversees product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Plans operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with product leadership as needed.
  • Partners with content strategists, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers.
  • Maximizes efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the standard.

Expected Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Deep dive into data:Leverage internaland externaldata to identify growthopportunities and craft/execute initiatives to capture them; sales pipeline and backbook portfolio lists are examples of key data sources you will reference regularly
  • Consult throughout the sales funnel : Serve as a trusted expert for training and development, sharing knowledge of Enterprise Payments and PSP Platform systems and operations with commercial and operational stakeholders; act as a resource and force multiplier for sellers to get deals from lead to live, ushering merchants through the funnel with a focus on discovery and solutioning
  • Actively drive deals forward : Partner directly with Account Managers on large, strategic deals, preparing compelling narratives, influencing diverse merchant stakeholders, and collaborating with Solution Engineering to ensure successful product integration.
  • Enhance commercial operations : Analyze and solve operational business / process problems related to the uptake of Omnichannel processing, developing effective solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Champion collaboration: Work alongside the Head of PSP Platform Commercialization and Growth to foster cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Account Management, Finance, Go-to-Market, and Data Science, ensuring alignment and operational excellence
  • Foster a feedback loop for growth: Monitor and evaluate industry trends in Payment processing, offering insights to enhance our operational strategies and customer experiences; a key component of this will be documenting and maintaining a robust record of common questions / challenges posed by merchants through the deal process

What You Need to Bring:

  • Execution excellence: A track record of supporting and delivering cross-functional initiatives in high-growth, fast-paced environments, particularly within commercial or product organizations.
  • Data-driven decision making: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage insights to inform strategy, commercial initiatives, and sales discussions; financial modeling experience is a plus.
  • Customer obsession: Deep empathy for the needs of large enterprise merchants and the ability to identify opportunities where PayPal can deliver differentiated value.
  • Influence & leadership : Ability to guide and align diverse cross-functional teams without direct authority, inspiring collaboration and execution across Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations.
  • Merchant-centric innovation : Demonstrated success translating complex merchant needs into scalable product and business strategies.
  • Collaborative spirit: The ability to build strong relationships and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals; with this, a desire to roll up your sleeves and drive the progression of key deals in partnership with Sales
  • Strategic vision:An understandingof the payments landscape and the ability to translate market trends intoactionable commercial initiatives

As well as:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in the payments industry with a focus on global processing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of effectively addressing complex operational challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders informally
  • Expert in PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft suite

The US national annual pay range for this role is $169,500 to $291,500
