Microsoft Software Engineer II-Fraud Detection

We are always in a race with fraudsters to design new ways to detect fraud. As a Software engineer with our team, you'll be responsible for designing and building infrastructure to collect real-time fraud detection signals at Internet Scale from various data sources and developing our next generation fraud detection service that scales to Millions of QPS while keeping privacy in mind. You will develop our next generation tools for inference, analysis and anomaly detection. You will keep Security First mind set and design secure-by-design systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience withinfrastructure design in Fraud, Security or Risk related areas.
  • 2+ years of experience with distributed systems, data processing and online service development.
  • 2+ years of experience with reliability, and performance optimization.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of infrastructure design in Fraud or Risk related areas.
  • Previous experience training Machine Learning (ML) models in production settings is highly desired.
