Responsible for developing reusable web components using latest frontend technologies like HTML/SASS/TypeScript/Angular/React etc
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Understand UX designs/Requirements and convert them into high quality coded components to reuse across GEHC applications

  • Perform Unit/E2E testing of developed code to meet quality requirements along with code coverage

  • Work in agile team environment and delivery the results with commitment in 2 week sprints

  • Proven track record of successful problem definition, decomposition, estimation.

  • Provides expertise in Design, Architecture, Development, Continuous Integration and Delivery.

  • Expert in navigating through ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting asks.

  • Demonstrates expert level skills in collaboration with different stakeholders, influences decisions, ability to take strategic view.

  • Strictly follow the coding and design standards, ensures secure development practices, exceed expectations around performance, Internationalization, Accessibility aspects.

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills; able to present at conferences and explain complex technical problems in simple terms.

Technical Expertise:

  • Expert in Front-End Framework Architecture and hands-on experience in popular UI Frameworks (e.g. Angular, ReactJS, Vue.JS etc.) on how to use and optimize them

  • Expert in developing UI applications using JavaScript/Typescript/SASS/CSS

  • Strong UX concepts in understanding designs and converting them into coded components

  • Hands on experience working with agile tools like Rally with thorough understanding of agile concepts

  • Very good understanding of Web Components and Shadow DOM

  • Past experience in design system component development is a big plus

  • Thorough understanding of Git flow, code check-ins & code-review process

  • Strong understanding of coding standards and guidelines for various languages and a desire to craft beautiful code

  • Experience in guiding and coaching Jr. Engineers in latest UI technologies and frameworks is a plus

  • Capable of independently researching and exploring new technologies and their implications within projects

  • Should be a quick learner and be able to work independently with minimal or no support in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications/Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)

  • 5 years of experience in object oriented design and programming in a production software environment

  • 5 years of experience with unit testing and continuous integration

  • 5 years of experience with version control or configuration management and software build

  • 5 years of experience with software development lifecycle including both product delivery and maintenance

  • 5 years of experience in design and development of software architecture using established design patterns.
