Technology Strategist

This role plays a crucial role in building world-class solutions across Microsoft solution areas, with the ISV partners. By providing deep technical guidance, you will help partners evolve their business solution portfolio using Microsoft AI and Cloud technologies. In this role, you will guide the development of business solutions, provide deep technical insights, and accelerate the growth of Microsoft Technical priorities across Azure, Copilot and Generative AI. You will work closely with partners to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, and guide them through architectural design sessions, developing proof of concepts, and help them transition from legacy systems to modern cloud environments, ensuring that their solutions are optimized for performance and cost-efficiency. By leveraging your skills in technical leadership, cloud computing, software development, problem solving and systems architecture, you will drive business impact by enabling digital transformation, optimizing performance, and driving innovation through the effective use of cloud technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 15+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, enterprise architect, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability in designing and deploying solutions, particularly in areas of Azure Cloud and the emerging tech transform customers thro Gen AI.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud native architectures for build solutions with architecture best practices with Azure services.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a customer and partner facing role (e.g., internal and/or external)
  • Significant experience leading technical projects
Responsibilities
  • Cloud Strategy Alignment:
    • Serve as the technical owner of our partners' business solutions, collaborating closely with stakeholders to align their technology roadmap with Microsoft's cloud offerings. This includes understanding partners' business objectives, providing strategic guidance, and helping them leverage the full potential of the Microsoft cloud to achieve their goals by building SaaS solution offers.
  • Cloud Transformation Leadership
    • Lead our partners through the complex process of cloud transformation, adopting a Technical Sales Challenger mindset to challenge conventional thinking. You will champion the adoption of cutting-edge cloud technologies, accelerate time to market, and identify new business opportunities that drive our partners' success.
  • Innovation and Tech Intensity
    • Embrace a culture of innovation and inspire our partners to adopt a tech-intensive mindset. Stay at the forefront of emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices. By providing thought leadership and encouraging experimentation, you will help our partners differentiate themselves in the market and drive transformative change.
  • Relationship Building
    • Cultivate strong relationships with partners, acting as a trusted advisor to CTOs, executives, and technical teams. Foster collaboration, trust, and open communication channels to ensure seamless alignment between our partners and Microsoft. By driving joint success and achieving shared business objectives, you will establish long-lasting partnerships.

    • Proven track record in providing strategic technology guidance and advisory services to partners (preferred) or customers. Ability to align technology solutions with business goals, develop technology roadmaps, and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Strategy Formulationand Communication Skills
    • Proven ability in strategy formulation, with a strong understanding of business strategies and the ability to lead the adoption of technologies by developing strategic, long-term visions for partners. Skilled in resolving technical blockers and driving envisioning of new and groundbreaking capabilities in technology roadmaps. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
