Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Process Engineering expertise throughoutthe duration of EQUIPMENT projects, including Proposal phase designs, BasicEngineering, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, and Fabrication.
  • Assigned projects will involve one or more related refinery processes andtechnologies and will include new unit designs and revamps.
  • Perform basic engineering design including process selection, simulation,and equipment sizing.
  • Perform hydraulics and other calculations for sizing of equipment,control valves, and piping.
  • Generate documents for design projects including Process Flow Diagrams(PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs),Project & Equipment Specifications and inputs required for FEED, andDetailed Engineering
  • Develop basic instrumentation and control philosophyspecifications.
  • Participate in the development and review of basic plant andequipment layout / general arrangement and modular 3-D models.
  • Contribute to processes related to sub-vendors such as Technical BidEvaluation and Design Progress Review.
  • Contribute as a process engineer in internal and external HAZOP studies ofHoneywell UOP-delivered modular process plants.
  • Contribute as a process engineer to interdisciplinary check of definedproject deliverables.
  • Complete assigned project work per the agreed scope, schedule, andbudget.
  • Keep the Project Manager informed of progress on assigned tasks. Bring anyproblems related to scope, schedule, and cost to the Project Manager’s and theTeam’s notice as early as possible and work towards resolving such issues.
  • Attend, lead, and contribute to project team meetings and customer meetingsas assigned and agreed with the Project Manager.
  • Adhere to current design practices, tools, technical standards,policies, and procedures for the completion of assigned tasks
  • Document all calculations and work processes in a clear, conciseformat.
  • Work with Sales Support to produce optimized process solutions in both thebudgetary and fixed proposal phases that can be smoothly handed off for projectexecution.
  • Perform Customer Specifications Review and contribute to the development ofExceptions & Clarifications Communication when required on Fixed PriceProposals.
  • Participate in new technology development/infrastructure teams whenassigned.
  • Keep up to date with customer needs and technologies within assigned areas.
  • Recommend and participate in efforts for the improvement of technology, designtools, work processes & procedures.
  • Interact closely with Technology Experts, Process Specialists, SkillsSpecialists (Static, Rotary, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical,Structural, Metallurgy, etc.), and Technical Services to come up withsolutions to complex problems.
  • Provide technical leadership, set up infrastructure, and guidelinesfor Modular process engineering.
  • Provide mentoring to the modular process team.
  • Compliance to Honeywell Policies including HS&E, HR,Legal Compliance, Intellectual Property Protection, Integrity &Codes of Conduct

Compensation & Benefits

The annual base salaryrange for this position is $138000 - $173,000. Please note that this salaryinformation serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factorswhen extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope andresponsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, educationand training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position isincentive plan eligible.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 10+ years in Refining or Petrochemical Processes
WE VALUE
  • Detailed Engineering or EPC workexperience
  • Experience in commissioning, startup, operation, troubleshooting,and optimization of refinery plants would be a plus
  • Expertise in aspects of Process Engineering such as ProcessSimulation, Generation of PFD, P&ID & Equipment Specs,Hydraulic Calculation, Process Control, Project Documentation, etc.
  • Experience working with Industrial Codes and Standards
  • Familiar with Basic and Detailed Engineering work processes andinter-discipline interactions
  • Knowledge of UOP Schedule A and Schedule A work process
  • Knowledge of UOP license technologies
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills andpresentation skills
  • Strong mentoring skills
  • Project management skills
