Tax Senior – Property Tax
The position will be responsible for managing and coordinating Property Tax Renditions, Tax Bills, Notice of Values, Threshold issues, Asset Scrubbing, Managing complex property tax returns, Asset valuation methodology etc. Also, guide supervising staff, assisting in client management and practice development activities.
Your key responsibilities
- Detailed review of property tax returns, work papers, Notices of value and Tax bills
- Accurate and timely submission of appeals and payment of tax bills
- Preparation and maintenance of property tax annual calendar
- Assist in preparation of responses to various property tax advisory and audit projects
- Interpreting and complying with state and local statutes, regulations and legislations
- Recommends tax strategies by researching federal, state and local taxation issues
- Communication and building rapport with users
- Make recommendations for business and process improvements
- Deliver work by consistently applying designated processes, standards and technology
- Ensures delivery on the work order with respect to turnaround, quality, handling workflow distribution, meeting volume levels, etc.
- Ensures implementation of technical learning curriculum to team members
- Provides input regarding hiring goals and participates in interview process, when needed
- Provides informal and formal performance feedback for resources as appropriate
- Proactively and timely identify operational problems and propose solutions. Escalate issues where required
- Represent and participate in Leadership visits, Client visits, etc.
- Familiar to management reporting – Dashboards, Quality Analysis, etc.
- Supervise, train and mentor staffs and interns on the engagements
- Instill EY culture at the individual level and comply with EY’s compliance procedure

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Graduate / Post-graduates, preferably in Commerce
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in Property Taxation
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and thorough knowledge on tax applications (PTMS, OPT)
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word and have average typing skills
