Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you drive best practices in reliability, observability, automation ensuring top-tier performance and uptime. You'll create tools to automate the deployment, monitoring and management of the platform. You'll work with open-source technologies like Salt stack, Jenkins and Ansible. As well as Akamai developed tools to maintain the reliability of the computing infrastructure.

As a Site Reliability Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Automating deployment workflows with shell/python and Saltstack/Ansible
• Collaborating on the roadmap for critical enterprise features expected from a public managed Kubernetes platform.
• Deploying Infrastructure As Code using terraform
• Developing monitoring solutions based on Prometheus metrics and Grafana dashboards.
• Defining reliability requirements and performance metrics for Akamai's cloud computing infrastructure.
• Collaborating in CI/CD pipeline ensuring a safe and reliable release cycle.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have professional experience in a Site Reliability or System Engineering role, with large scale distributed systems
• Have experience with open source monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Have experience with automation tools such as Salt stack, Ansible, Jenkins.
• Have deep experience building Kubernetes Platform Clusters with scale and Cloud Native technologies.
• Have experience with Container Runtimes (e.g. docker, containerd, etc) and experience with Linux, Go, Python & Typescript.
• Be familiar in software development practices like Agile, product life cycles via build, test, deploy, iterative environments.
